Who Am I?

Hello, my name is Abigail Couch and I am a senior at Missouri State University. I am currently studying in public relations, and marketing and will be graduating December 2018.

I grew up near Jefferson City in a small town called Jamestown, MO. I graduated with a class of fifteen students so Missouri State University was quite a culture shock. Luckily I got to endure it all with my twin brother, Andrew, who also went to Missouri State to study electronic arts.

I wasn't sure on my major until I discovered a great love for communications and to sharpen my writing and speaking skills, I decided to major in public relations. I thoroughly enjoy writing, designing, and understanding people. I tell people all the time that my passion is people, may sound cheesy but it is true.

When I had to decide on a minor, I was puzzled. I couldn't think of what I would enjoy that paired well with public relations. I was minoring in journalism for a bit before I decided that although I enjoyed it, it was very different writing from public relations. I came across marketing and decided to give it a shot! I love marketing, and I have Missouri State to thank for it. I have had wonderful professors in both my major and minor, that work to assist me to become a better writer and critical thinker.

I am still learning and challenging myself everyday, and I can't wait to put my skills to test!
